Micheleen
This superb variety has proved it's drought tolerance in recent years, producing some of the highest yields seen. Technically it has no real weaknesses and compares very favourably to other varieties in this sector with a massive 109% yield over controls. Also suitable for grain production on best sites.
Cob Ripeness
Large fat tapered cob with smoky grains which darken as starch is layed down in the grain. Cob ripening days after Lovely + 22
Maturity Group
FAO 220. Later maturing variety for the best growing sites allowing harvesting teams with large areas to cut time to harvest at the optimum dry matter.
Quality and Digestibility
Good digestibility combines with very high yield for superb ME yields per hectare. Good starch content driven by good cob ripeness for maturity group.
Yield
Sow at 36,000 to 42,500 seeds per acre (99,000 - 105,000 seeds/ha.) to maximise output. Highest yielding variety tested by NIAB in very favourable sites.
