Bonnie
An outstanding variety with exceptional yield & quality, backed up by its impressive data set. Exhibits decent drought tolerance. Superb cob set maximising energy output. Had a very good year on farm again in 2023. Some farmers have crimped this variety for rocket fuel animal feed.
Cob Ripeness
Large well filled determinate cobs with early dent grain and good maturity, similar to Ambition. Cob ripening days after Picker + 8.

Very high digestibility and cell wall digestibility 59.6% combine with good starch to produce superb silage. A quality variety producing quality silage.
Yield
Sow at 40,000 to 45,000 seeds per acre (105,000 to 111,000 seeds/ha) to maximise output. Very high yields of forage in NIAB trials. Excellent combination of cob and plant yield to form quality forage in the clamp.
